Assignment 12: Essential Question

How are you and I going to actively inform our communities about human trafficking in such a way that inspires action?

I selected these words to form an essential question because it accurately represents my role in the campaign. I am heavily involved and passionate about the awareness and outreach aspects of this issue, for the first issue is the lack of awareness.

What excites me the most about finding the answer to this essential question is that it is much more than an answer to one simple question, it is actually the answer to solving a part of this global issue. There are multiple answers to this questions which is actually beneficial; more answers, equals more tangible solutions.

This question accurately reflects the desire I have to find out more about how we as a society, a generation and a people can collectively work to put an end to something so much larger than just one question. I believe that once we are made aware of this tragedy that is modern day slavery, then it is our job to bring awareness to others, in a hope that we will inspire actions against the trafficking industry.
