This article includes many shocking statistical facts that no doubt help the reader to understand why the awareness aspect of the cause is so important. It also touches on the success and the growth of the campaign within its operating years. It continues to define all types of human trafficking and how they occur, shocking the readers and likely encouraging them to join the fight.

Though the source is likely to have some bias because it is a “.com” website, the source remains credible because it is news; making it very current. The source is directly related to the organization itself; END IT Movement. â€‹â€‹

The article is directly related to my work, it is another tool I can use to educate my community and get them directly involved. Many people often ask me, “Well, how can I help?” Making them aware and giving them opportunities to participate in events like shine a light on slavery day is the prefect example.

Ford, Dana. “Sex Trafficking: The New American Slavery.” CNN, Cable News Network, 14 Mar. 2017

In the article, Sex trafficking: The new American slavery by Leif Coorlim and Dana Ford, the writers thoughtfully explain what sex trafficking is and how it occurs today. This article fits into my potential research paper by thoroughly defining the topic by explaining what it looks like in modern day America. The article also adds the factual statistics needed to fully understand the severity of modern day slavery or, sex trafficking

The article contains information about modern day slavery and what that specifically looks like in Atlanta for young girls. The author discusses ones girls story and elaborates on the fact that these women are victims, not prostitutes and mostly children under the age of 18. She provides statistics and explains why Atlanta is one of the most active sex trafficking cities in the world. The author concludes the article on a high note when she describes one a victim that has completely turned her life around and is now safe from bondage.

I will use this article to educate not only my peers but the city of Atlanta. This is a great source to take credible facts and statistics from to present to those I am educating. This article gives the personal example of one girl who was affected by modern day slavery so that will resinate with people in many communities.

This webpage includes an introduction article and an embed video on general knowledge of human trafficking. It simply explains what it is, how to recognize signs of it, how to further educate yourself about it and how to help stop human trafficking. This is so important because it is a great tool to educate the misinformed or uninformed. “Everyone has a role to play in combating human trafficking.” This is a significant quote from the article because it is factual. Once you are aware of this issue it is so important for you to help end it in any small or big way you can. This source is credible because it is from the Official website of the Department of Homeland Security, ending in “.gov”. Because this a nationally recognized and credible source it will be a great tool for me to inform others on the issue that is Human Trafficking. The video included will provide a helpful visual for my presentation. Education is a key component to the awareness and prevention of Human trafficking.
